The only real drawback we have found with these is an occasional interference problem, but nothing that will take away from your listening pleasure that’s for sure.
Most of the time wired headphones will always give you a better sound then wireless headphones. There are many different reasons for that, but the Pioneer SE-DIR800C is the exception to that rule. This set of wireless headphones are great for the home theater or any other thing that you may want to use them for. The Pioneer uses an infrared beam rather than radio frequencies to cut down on interference and they sure have accomplished that. For the money you will be very hard pressed to find another set of wireless headphones that can do what the Pioneer Se-DIR800C can do.
The only area that I haven’t really cover is blue tooth wireless headphones and for a very good reason. This type of technology is always changing and finding the best set of wireless headphones is virtually impossible as this area of headphones it seems changes daily. What maybe great today may not be tomorrow? It’s just how the market of blue tooth is right now. My one suggestion though would be the Logitech FreePulse with enhanced Blue tooth 2.0. They are compatible with most audio players and have around a 33-foot range. Integrated volume and bass boost mode make these a good choice. This is a great model to start with, but with blue tooth new things are being released all the time and you must stay on top of it to get the best wireless headphones possible.
